Monkey bars are a staple in any obstacle race. My secret for mastering them? Work on your grit ✊🏼and help yourself with the legs👌🏼. You will have to face them normally at the end of the race (exactly, when you have most chances of being already tired😒). Don’t fool yourself, monkey bars can be tricky: different heights, rings, bars that move…and your hands will probably be humid or muddy by the time you hit them 🙈

Needless to say it is important to have a well built up muscle base to start with; work on strengthening back, core and shoulders before jumping directly onto training monkey bars if you want to avoid injures!
