We seem to forget how important stretching is.
It is vital in order to maintain a range of motion of the joints and to keep our muscles flexible, strong and healthy. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way .That puts you to a risk for joint pain, strains and muscle damage .
In order to avoid injuries and cramps, you should include stretching and warm-up/cool-down routines in your workout plans and always before and after your race☝. You will feel the difference in your performance!
